- Owner trust levels can be used to validate other keys.
- Fully validated keys can introduce, or validate, others.
- GnuPG defaults:
- Only a fully validated key can introduce another key.
- A fully trusted key will fully validate a key.
- Three marginally trusted keys will fully validate a key.
- One marginally trusted key will marginally validate a key.
- The path of keys, root key inclusive, must be no more than six keys (five "hops").
