• • Owner trust levels can be used to validate other keys.
  • Fully validated keys can introduce, or validate, others.
  • GnuPG defaults:
  • Only a fully validated key can introduce another key.
  • A fully trusted key will fully validate a key.
  • Three marginally trusted keys will fully validate a key.
  • One marginally trusted key will marginally validate a key.
  • The path of keys, root key inclusive, must be no more than six keys (five "hops").
